Hypnosis

Each of us has a little story that we tell ourselves; about our life; about our past, present and future; about what we are struggling with. Oftentimes, these narratives form foundational parts of our character or identity, even though they are based on fears and insecurities. You may see yourself as unworthy. Or as always struggling to find love or happiness. You may harbor anger about past experiences that still affect you. Release the storytelling that is no longer serving you; that does not represent your true self. Come back to a place of healthy, loving story telling. One of positive growth, forgiveness, strength and courage. Rather than stressing about who you are, focus on who you are becoming.

There is an idea that you can only grow through “pain” or “struggle;” that these experiences shape you in ways that make you stronger. And while there are important lessons to be learned from such experiences, this is an idea ingrained in us by people who place a high value on “hard work,” “struggle” and “failure” as necessary lessons. Remember that positive experiences – joy, ease, laughter – are just as powerful at shaping who you are and writing your personal story.

Who will I work with?

Me! I am the owner and certified hypnotherapist with the American School of Hypnosis and a member of the International Certification Board for Clinical Hypnotherapists.

What happens on the first visit?

The first visit will be a consultation. We will discuss whatever you would like! We will talk about your goals, your concerns and any questions you may have. We will also have a hypnosis session that will last approximately 60 to 90 minutes.

What is hypnosis like and do I need to do anything?

Hypnosis is like daydreaming. Have you ever driven or ridden in a car and all of a sudden you are at your destination? That’s hypnosis! Your subconscious knows what to do without you even thinking about it. I will guide you through the process. You won’t need to do anything. You don’t even need to listen, your subconscious will do all of the work. It’s really very easy and highly affective.

What is hypnosis used for?

Hypnosis is used for so many things!

It can improve the success of other treatments for many conditions, including:

  • Phobias, fears, and anxiety
  • Sleep disorders
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Post-trauma anxiety
  • Grief and loss

Where is the office?

I have been fully vaccinated and have a home office. The office has a seperate entrance and is very safe, quiet and comfortable. We can also meet virtually via Zoom!
